Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Vybe is a product of AppDrop (appdrop.io), operated as a sole proprietorship in British Columbia, Canada. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@appdrop.io.

2. What data we collect

When you connect your Instagram account to Vybe, we collect the following data through the Meta Graph API and Instagram Graph API:

• Basic profile information — username, profile picture, account type
• Media objects — posts, Reels, Stories including captions, media type, and publish timestamps
• Instagram Insights — reach, impressions, engagement, follower count, follower demographics (age, gender, location), and post-level performance metrics
• Page engagement data for connected Facebook Pages
• Videos and images you upload directly to Vybe for scheduling

We also collect basic account information you provide during signup (name, email address) and standard usage analytics such as features used and session duration.

3. How we use your data

We use your Instagram data exclusively to provide the Vybe service:

• Analyzing your account performance to generate AI-powered insights and recommendations
• Identifying your best-performing content types, posting times, and audience engagement patterns
• Generating weekly marketing plans and content suggestions tailored to your account
• Scheduling and publishing posts to your Instagram account at times you approve
• Storing your upload history and scheduling queue

We use Claude (Anthropic's AI) to generate insights and recommendations. Your data is sent to Anthropic's API for this purpose and is subject to Anthropic's privacy policy. Anthropic does not train on API data.

4. What we never do with your data

• We never sell your personal data or Instagram data to any third party
• We never share your data with advertisers
• We never use your data to train AI models beyond the scope of your individual session
• We never access your Instagram account beyond the permissions you explicitly grant
• We never store your Instagram login credentials — authentication is handled entirely by Meta's OAuth system

6. Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage), hosted in Google Cloud infrastructure in the United States. Videos and images you upload for scheduling are stored temporarily and deleted automatically within 24 hours of being published. Analytics data and generated insights are retained for up to 12 months to provide trend analysis features.

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production data is restricted to the AppDrop team.

7. Data retention and deletion

You can request deletion of all your Vybe data at any time by emailing privacy@appdrop.io or by using the "Delete my account" option in app settings. Upon deletion, we will permanently remove all your personal data, Instagram analytics data, uploaded media, and generated reports within 30 days.

You can also revoke Vybe's access to your Instagram account at any time through your Instagram settings under "Apps and Websites." Revoking access will immediately stop all scheduled posts and data collection.

Vybe is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the app at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Vybe after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
